Benchmark Your Hospice LOS With These Stats

Wondering how your hospice average length of stay stats fit in with your peers? Now you can check as long as Palmetto GBA is your Med-icare Administrative Contractor. For example: The longest length of stay is for Alzheimer's, with a 204 LOS on average across Palmetto's 16 states. The shortest is for Renal at 40 days. Access the LOS numbers broken out by policy, region, state, and other categories at -- select "Hospice" under the "Articles" section and click on the "Non-Cancer Length of Stay (NCLOS) Rates: January 1 - June 30, 2011" link.
