Industry Note:

Home Care Company May Command $1 Billion Price

Private-equity firm Webster Capital is exploring the sale of pediatric-focused home care company Epic Health Services Inc., reports The Wall Street Journal. Dallas-based Epic could be valued at $1 billion or higher, the WSJ says. Epic has 77 locations in 17 states and served 42,000 patients last year, it says.

Waltham, Mass.-based Webster acquired Epic Medstaff Home Healthcare in 2010 in a deal valued at less than $50 million, the WSJ reports. Epic’s annual revenues have grown from about $60 million at that time to about $750 million now.
