State Paid $30 Million In Error For Home Care Services

The HHS Office of Inspector General continues its scrutiny of state-funded personal care services. New York State paid $32 million in error for home care services from 2007 to 2009, the OIG estimates in a new report. Of 100 claims reviewed, 15 didn’t meet requirements such as having a physician sign the plan of care, sufficient documentation for services, or aide training, according to the report at .
