Use New Medical Review Tool To Ward Off TPE Failure

Medical review is on the rise, including the potentially devastating Targeted Probe & Educate campaign. Wise providers may take advantage of the helping hand Medicare is offering for claims scrutiny. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services “has developed a review tool that may be helpful in submitting claims that meet Medicare requirements,” the agency says on its home health medical review webpage. “This tool … is not designed to be a comprehensive review tool, but was developed to help HHAs avoid the common denial reasons CMS has seen over the past few years.” Access the five-slide Powerpoint tool in the “Downloads” section at .
