MAC Urges Providers To MBIs

Don鈥檛 fall behind your peers in transitioning over to using Medicare Beneficiary identifier rather than Health Insurance Claim Numbers. In MAC 颁骋厂鈥檚 region, Washington, D.C. had the highest percentage of hospice claims using the MBI for April, while Utah had the lowest, the HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor reveals on its website. 鈥淐GS encourages home health and hospice providers to begin submitting the MBI before the end of the transition period, December 31, 2019,鈥� it says. 鈥淐GS is monitoring MBI submissions to ensure providers are ready for this transition.鈥� See state MBI stats at .
